How to apply for help

If you would like to apply to for help, you will need to fill in the Trust's application form. You can either apply online, by email or by post.

If you are asking for help with your gas/electricity charges, we will contact the company to confirm how much you owe them.  If you are asking for help with gas/electricity please make sure you have entered a dated meter read on the form.

Online Applications

The quickest way of applying is by completing and submitting the online application form by clicking here. On receipt of the application we will provide an email acknowledgement. We will then contact you for supporting evidence (detailed in Section 13 of the application form, e.g. income proof) in order for the assessment of your application to begin. Please ensure your email is titled with the applicant's name and postcode and that the applicant's name and postcode is stated on each scanned document.

Applying by Post

Alternatively applications can be submitted by post to the freepost address below. Click here to download the form which can be completed on screen or by hand. The application must be signed in Section 12 and supporting evidence attached (detailed in Section 13 of the application form) before assessment of your application can begin. Your application will be acknowledged by post.

Requesting an application

If you would prefer us to send you an application form in the post, please telephone us on 01733 421 060, email bget@charisgrants.com stating the name and full address to send the form to or complete our request form .

If you think you may have difficulty in completing the application form, a local advice centre such as a Citizens Advice Bureau may be able to help you fill it in. Click here to find your nearest CAB.
